The trees blossom in spring
and bear fruit in summer
without seeking praise...
and they drop their leaves in autumn
and become naked in winter
without feeling shame.
After the death of both parents, adults experience something unique in terms of grief: our culture offers little in the way of support. Having gone through this experience, it is our hope to address this need by providing workshops in the South Bay and Peninsula areas.
Our goals for you include:
• you will be able to name without judgement the variety of thoughts, feelings and behaviors that arise unexpectedly
• you will have the opportunity to embrace the growth that is inherent in this process
• you will see grief as a natural life task rather than something to be pathologized.
You will custom build your own shelter that will provide safety in the storm of grief so that you can rebuild your
own life when the time comes. We invite you to take the time you need and use the grief process constructively.
